Tetra Pak CPS Enjoying a Uniq Partnership
25th March 2009
A long standing relationship, coupled with a reputation for providing high quality capital equipment and turnkey systems, have combined to help Tetra Pak CPS clinch another order with a leading European chilled convenience food group.
The UNIQ Group has traded with Tetra Pak CPS for over 10 years, and has just invested in a major expansion of its desserts facility at its St Ivel factory in Minsterley, Shropshire, which will be used to produce an expanded range of dairy desserts.
Tetra Pak CPS were responsible for the £2.8 million turnkey project that included interfacing with the customer's existing control system and an extension to their current CIP system.
The heart of the new processing plant is a new 4 tonne/hour desserts pasteurising system, and to optimise costs, a selection of storage tanks, valves, pumps and filling equipment has been relocated from one of UNIQ's other sites.
Both the new and used equipment has been incorporated into a complete new process line designed by Tetra Pak CPS. The new line includes the handling of liquid chocolate and sugar which involves mixing and blending, pasteurisation, storage and installation of all the interconnecting pipework and feeds to the filling machines. St Ivel has been consistently impressed with the professionalism, quality of design and high level of workmanship demonstrated by Tetra Pak CPS.
Thanks to the company’s reputation for impressive value for money, versatility, level of expertise and co-operation from its employees, it has enjoyed a long-term partnership with the UNIQ Group.
Based in Sherborne, Tetra Pak CPS is renowned for its flexibility and cost effective solutions and these have been at the fore in providing the UNIQ Group with cutting edge solutions.
Commenting on the Company's relationship with UNIQ, Business Development Manager Paul Griffin said: “Tetra Pak CPS is dedicated to providing flexible, specialist, quality solutions to all our customers. We have worked on many projects with UNIQ, from the commissioning of complete bespoke dessert plants through to the modification and upgrading of existing equipment".
