CPS Remains Independent
1st February 2007
CPS will still remain a watchword for quality in the dairy, food and beverage sectors following the acquisition by Tetra Pak of Carlisle Process Systems Ltd which is located in Dorset, UK.
Whilst the new name for the overall business has changed to Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems Ltd, the Dairy, Food & Beverage Division will continue to trade from the Sherborne site and employ the same dedicated sales and engineering team as previously. The division will even retain its former CPS logo and identity in order to maintain its strong brand image and dominant place in the UK market.
CPS is already one of the best known names in the UK liquid processing sector and its ability to continue to trade independently will not only further strengthen its appeal, but should also open up a number of new markets.
As part of its ongoing development the process engineering and project management resources are being beefed up along with a bigger sales and marketing team to ensure that the Dairy, Food & Beverage Division is seen by the market as a single source provider that delivers on its promises.
The Managing Director of Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems Ltd is confident that the arrangement will bring a large number of benefits. He says: "The Dairy, Food & Beverage Division will continue to serve its UK customer base under the CPS brand name with the same enthusiasm that it always has done. This means that existing customers can work with the same people they have known for years whose priority, as always, is to provide the same great level of service and attention that people have come to expect from CPS."
The business is highly focused and will concentrate on expanding its large existing customer base and product offering.
The Dairy, Food & Beverage Division works in many other sectors than the name suggest such as nutrition, pharmaceutical, paper and healthcare to name but a few. However, the same building blocks are used for all process systems namely Intake and Storage, Mixing and Blending, Heat Treatment and Pasteurisation, and Separation and Homogenisation. Cleaning in Place (CIP) is a CPS specialty with a variety of options available for all industries.
Also offered under the CPS brand area is a range of Process Vessels and Storage Tanks, manufactured in-house at the modern Dorset facility, as well as on-site installation, fabrication and pipework services.
Typical recent projects include a process system for honey and sauces, bespoke ice cream production plant, yogurt and dessert plants, several packaged pasteuriser modules, fruit process system, CIP sets and a number of chocolate process vessels.
